YOUTH ACTION INITIATIVES (YAI) - NIGERIA
YOUTH ACTION INITIATIVES, is a youth led NGO that focuses on the MDGS, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Leadership. This includes a multisectoral approach that considers systematic and community based strategies to attaining sustainable development through capacity building trainings, workshops as well as community based programming and participates as well as contribute at both national and international conferences. The organization also engages in In-school and out of school sensitizations and researches.
YOUTH ACTION INITIATIVES has over the years continued in an effort to improve the lives of young people irrespective of their sex, race, sexual identity so as to attain sustainable development. We believe that empowering young people involved in social change and development initiatives is a key component to achieving the Millennium Development Goals. The organization has also continued providing ICT training, capacity building workshops, Basic literacy, in-school sensitization as well as community mobilization activities to reach youth of all strata of life.

The UK Debate to Action Launch was attended by the High commisioners from Ghana, Ethiopia, Uganda as well as Madam Babara Genevaz as well as the British council Director General, Sir David Green on the 29th of February, 2007 in London. The Launch was necessary to build support as well as increased funding for the project so that other countries like Kenya , Sudan and Uganda can come on board.
